at the 2024 Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse
Emerging and established talents transformed a Greek Revival house for this year’s Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse. The biennial event showcases cutting-edge designers blending Brooklyn’s historic charm with modern style. We're thrilled to be part of a jewel-box writer’s study designed by the talented sister duo at Studio Jai Home.
by Studio Jai Home
Sisters Parul Jain Ghei and Kanika Jain Gupta of Studio Jai Home designed a jewel-box writer’s study on the second floor, blending drama with functionality. This calming escape features rich, saturated colors and varied textures, ideal for sparking inspiration. Cleverly maximizing the space, they incorporated hidden desks and a window bench with storage, creating a perfect retreat for a writer’s greatest work.
A calming retreat adorned with rich, saturated colors and textures, Studio Jai Home’s design provides an inspiring haven for writers. They incorporated our Amelia 1" Solid Brass Knob and Amelia 2.50" Drop Pull in unlacquered brass from the Pierce & Ward Collection, enhancing the charm of the custom millwork. Whimsical accents, such as the Cleopatra Interior Door Knocker in burnished brass, beautifully complete the space.
Dark blue-green wallpaper from Ever Atelier, inspired by fashion fabrics, envelops the small space, beautifully illuminated by a chandelier from Tracy Glover Studio featuring five elegant glass discs. Quaint art and accessories, such as the Hansel-and-Gretel candelabra by Brooklyn's Nicholas Devlin, add a playful touch to the design.
