Ajiri Aki is an author, design tastemaker, and founder of Madame de la Maison, a lifestyle brand based in Paris that offers curated French antiques, linens, and elevated tabletop experiences. Known for her warm, intentional approach to entertaining, Ajiri helps others embrace beauty and joy in the everyday. Her brand and aesthetic have been featured in Vogue, Domino, House Beautiful, and The New York Times, and she has designed styling projects for renowned names such as Christofle, Cire Trudon, Penfolds, LVMH, and Ruinart.
Ajiri’s creative background spans fashion, design history, and editorial styling. Before founding her brand, she worked in New York as a fashion editor and later earned a master’s in Decorative Arts from Bard Graduate Center. Her love of aesthetics and storytelling comes to life not only through product curation but also in her books—most recently Joie: A Parisian’s Guide to Celebrating the Good Life (Penguin Random House, 2023).
