The Benson Custom Knob is one of our most popular designs. Its smooth lines and sleek design are strikingly beautiful in their simplicity. This design can be customized with a square cushioned semi-precious gemstone to compliment the color scheme in your design and furniture. Gemstones used in this design are hand cut and hand polished. This versatile design is often paired with our Benson and Chippendale Backplates to create a sophisticated look, which harmonizes with almost any interior. The Benson Knob has been featured in House Beautiful and Happy Homes Magazine. Your search for modern cabinet hardware ends here. Burnished Brass finish is hand applied by our amazing artisans. There may be natural variations in the finish which makes each piece charming and unique, and are not product defects. Such variations are inherent in the manufacturing of handmade products. Like a family heirloom, each Modern Matter product is filled with love, care, and careful thought.

Mark the Surface Step 1

Mark the Surface

Apply painter’s tape and mark your exact drill point on top. This protects the wood while helping ensure precise, repeatable placement.

Drill the Opening Step 2

Drill the Opening

Using a 7/32" drill bit, carefully drill at your marked point. Remove the tape once complete to reveal a clean, ready opening.

Install by Hand Step 3

Install by Hand

Insert the appropriate screw (typically 1” for ¾” thickness) into the drilled hole. Attach the knob, rotate until hand-tight, then secure with a screwdriver.

Determine Placement Step 4

Determine Placement

Use a tape measure to determine ideal knob positioning on each door or drawer, keeping placement consistent throughout.
