We are so inspired by all the images coming out of the inaugural Kips Bay 2020 Decorator Show House in Dallas. Twenty Seven of the industry's top designers came together to transform the North Dallas home. We were so proud to provide hardware for two of the rooms by Michelle Nussbaumer and Doniphan Moore.
Michelle Nussbaumer created a layered and well traveled space inspired by the Paul Montgomery wallpaper and Clarence House fabrics. The wallpaper is based on tile palaces throughout the Islamic world, while the fabric is based on some of her favorite travel destinations from Mexico to Morocco. Michelle used pieces from her various collections to adorn the space.
"Michelle Nussbaumer’s worldly chic "Writer’s Lair" is the perfect place to steal away and get inspired—or take a fabulous nap. Nussbaumer says the inspiration for this room came from the Paul Montgomery wallpaper and Clarence House fabrics. The wallpaper is based on tile palaces throughout the Islamic world, while the fabric is based on some of her favorite travel destinations from Mexico to Morocco." says Lauren Wicks for Veranda
Michelle designed the Moroccan inspired brass hardware featured in the wet bar, the bathroom and the master closet. The custom engraved hardware complemented the Container Store custom closets and added a worldly element. Michelle also used hardware from her own Michelle Nussbaumer collection to accent the glass closet doors.
“I see this room belonging to a British traveler who traveled the world and brought all of their collected treasures. It’s the room of a person who travels the desert and sleeps under the stars.”
The stunning closets by The Container Store are perfect for showcasing all one’s global finds. Michelle created caftans out of her Cowtan and Tout fabric and hung them on the custom hardware hooks.
