Q: What is your favorite part of the design process?
A: I love the client interface part of the job. I like to establish a relationship with someone. Getting to know your client makes for the best project. You know what the family needs to function better.
Q: How would you describe your style?
We definitely have a Southern aesthetic. We like to draw from timeless shapes and styles. The fundamentals are always coming from classic architecture, but we like to reinvent shapes that have been around for years. We love the mix of antiques with contemporary lighting.
I also love to use more contemporary color palettes. I love to experiment with my clients taste. We do everything from very traditional to very modern. I pride myself in having my clients home reflect their personalities. The home should reflect the person living there.
Hardware is a place where you can mix metals really easily, especially in a bathroom or kitchen. I think it's more interesting than having everything match. Kara Cox

Yes! I love the use of color in Modern Matter Hardware. It's so great to customize a piece for a client. A cabinet or piece of furniture can be completely different with the right piece of hardware. It's a great way for people to customize what could be a standard item. Especially with everything in the industry being delayed. Hardware is a quick way to change something on an existing piece. You can completely alter the look of a piece and make it feel brand new. So yes, We love customized statement hardware!
Q: How do you feel about mixing metal finishes in a room?
Im really big on mixing metals. Hardware is a place where you can mix metals really easily in a bathroom or kitchen. I like to mix cool and warm tones together. I think it's more interesting than having everything match.
