Charlotte based designer Brooke Cole transforms an upstairs pass-through space into a useable and ultra chic lounge area. One question- where did the lava lamp go?!

Brooke Cole on Reducing Clutter:

"This hallway separates teenager bedrooms and had built in book shelves at the end. The built ins were useful for storing electronics, books and art projects but constantly looked messy. To solve the problem we retrofitted upholstered doors over the built-ins and gave the girls a fun and modern sitting space to hang. Function and pretty for the win!"

Brooke used the Middleton Acrylic Bar pulls on the upholstered doors for a sleek and custom look.

The Before

“This is an upstairs landing right off my clients stairwell. The doors on either side go into bedrooms. My client wanted a pretty space to view when she came upstairs but also needed a space to charge and store her teenage daughters’ electronics at night and as well as overflow from their rooms such as books, etc.

"Function and pretty for the win!”
