You knew you wanted a pink, fresh kitchen. Did you draw out plans?

It’s a tricky space because it’s such a small kitchen. We came up with a perfect floor plan to use the space well without tearing down a wall. A bunch of my followers on Instagram sent me floor plan ideas which was so helpful.

Tell us about the cabinets and of course your hardware choices!

We used all new Ikea cabinetry. The tops are just plain white and I painted the bottom pink. I did it myself because I love painting.

As for the hardware, it was the item I saw and was like "this takes my breath away and it had to be in here."The hardware made the kitchen! I love the bamboo hardware, it’s so Palm Beach chic. I love the texture and it just feels good in my hand.

Did you know you wanted to go with brass?

Yes, I love the gold and white pairing and it also pairs so nicely with the pink.

Lets talk about that fabulous hidden dishwasher!

I wanted the dishwasher to match the cabinets because if you installed a regular dishwasher it would really break up the space. I bought a panel ready dishwasher and then wooden panels that attach on top. I installed the bamboo handle on the dishwasher so that it has the consistent look of the cabinets.

Any tips on installing hardware?

The only tip I have is to go to the hardware store and buy a template that you can hang over your drawer and decide what hole it goes in so that it’ll be consistent I paint first and then drill on my cabinetry
