The Sherwood Forest Letter Opener features burnished brass adorned with beautifully carved organic leafy shapes and an “Open Your Heart” message on the handle. Esteemed artist and designer Doug Meyer drew inspiration from his love for the natural world, stating, “When brass oxidizes over time, it develops a magical, earthy, vibrant green color that resembles chalk. This natural transformation, combined with my passion for nature, inspired me to create these carved organic shapes on a substrate of burnished brass for the Sherwood Forest collection.” Burnished Brass finish is hand-applied by our amazing artisans.
