Q: Can you briefly introduce yourself and your company?
A: I’m a mom of 3, ranging in age from 11-18, with an Australian Shepherd who thinks he’s one of my children. I recognize the importance of family-friendly design and finishes. My design is fluid; it represents my clients' needs, wants, and family. I strive to create a marriage of comfort and design. Whether it’s modern, bohemian, eclectic, or traditional, comfort, function, and reflection are my guiding principles.
Q: Tell us a bit about this project
A: This particular project was very appealing to me, as it was for a young family with two young boys and two dogs who loved to entertain. They were looking to restore their 90’s renovated Tudor back to its authentic self. The homeowners grew up surrounded by antiques, and I wanted to be sure these “storytellers” were integrated into the design.
Q: What was your priority when designing this space?
A: The most important factors are staying true to the home's aesthetic while giving the clients a functional and cohesive space that’s reflective of what they want.
Hardware is the jewelry to your project and the tone setter. Sometimes, you want it to be delicate and classic, and sometimes, you want it to be a statement. Happy Hive Design
Q: Why did you select the Clementine and Pixie Collection for this kitchen?
A: The Clementine and Pixie collections acted as the perfect bridge to connect the Tudor and cottage styles.
Q: What is your go-to tip to create a functional but stylish kitchen?
A: Don’t be afraid to mix your materials whether it’s metals, textures, surfaces, or colors.
Q: Where can we keep up with your work?
